About Brainiac Play

We make short daily puzzle games you can finish in a few minutes.

What we make

Each game gives everyone the same puzzle on the same day. Word ladders, spelling hunts, anagrams, word searches, a small crossword and number grids. They are free, with no account and no ads between moves.

How puzzles are made

Puzzles are generated ahead of time with a solver, so each one is checked. Every word ladder has a shortest route, which sets par. Every spelling board holds plenty of words, including common ones. Word checks use ENABLE, a public domain word list. Start and target words come from a list of common words.

Your data

Your streaks, stats and collection are stored in your browser. We count anonymous visits and finished puzzles to see which games work and which do not. Read the privacy page for details.
